1. Translations
a) Technical-Scientific: Translations that require specific knowledge and vocabulary in a certain area of knowledge. Our expertise areas are Medicine, Engineering, Biochemistry, Computing, Agriculture and Livestock Industry,Economy and Finance, Marketing, Tourism, Education.
b) Public: Translations of legal documents that
require a registered Sworn Translator.
c) Literary: Translations of literary texts rattled with symbolisms,
metaphors and puns, typical of each language. This is why the translator
should take into account not only the meaning of the text, but also the
aesthetic and artistic characteristics of the author.
d) Media: Translations of press releases, multimedia presentations, letters
and bills for clients, brochures and other advertising material, news
articles, media reports and corporate communications.
2. Proof-Reading
INTERLINK offers proof-reading services to ensure the client a uniform text
regarding style and assure that the text has no syntactic, spelling or
grammatical mistakes.
3. Desktop Publishing (DTP)
INTERLINK offers DTP services for the final translation to have the same
format of the original text, so that when the client receives the
translation, it can be readily published.
4. Subtitling and dubbing
Audiovisual translations represent a challenge because they require an
excellent timing between the original dialogs and the introduction of the
subtitling or dubbing.
- Subtitling: Is the process of translating the original dialogues or
narrations on a separate display below the screen.
- Dubbing: Is the process of replacing the original dialogues for
dialogues in the target language, without distorting the original
message.
5. Interpretations
Translations in which the message is transmitted orally from one
language into another, without distorting the original meaning.
a) Simultaneous: Is the process of transmitting the message seconds
after the speaker, without interruption.
b) Consecutive: Is the process of transmitting the message once the
speaker has finished a meaning unit.
